Multifunction device: printer/scanner/copier.
Prints also reasonably well with various "cdj...", "gimp-print"/"stp", or "pcl3"/"hpdj" drivers.
For basic printing functionality use the HPIJS driver . For advanced functionality such as printer status, maintenance features, scanning and photo card unload use the HPLIP driver (which includes HPIJS).
Copying works fine from the front panel.
One user reported (Old report): "I've never gotten it to go at more than 300 x 300 dpi. Also, it sneakily cuts off top and bottom margins. For some reason ESP Print Pro is a little less awful this way, but tell your word processor you're using 10.5" long paper. Oh, and with ESP -- pretend it's a 1220C."
